In some cases one would like to be able to connect multiple SIP/IAX accounts to the same upstream server. Each account may have differing creditials etc and this can (with asterisk at least) create some authentication issues. Fortunately there exists some “solutions”.

Sunday, November 30th, 2008I recently got overly annoyed with both the office phone and my cell phone going off on me at the same time. Then I bumped into chan_mobile. Now I have some nasty ideas. Why not use bluetooth to automatically hook your cellphone up to the PBX whenever you walk into the office? Sounds hard? Well, as a matter of fact, it’s not.

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008Something which a number of clients has been complaining about is that the BLF lights on the GXP phones just stop functioning. The stock standard answer until now has been “reboot the phone” … however, the calls keeps coming. So what can be done to fix this more permanently?

Monday, October 27th, 2008Whilst the above is probably true, it no longer holds, most processors nowadays are at least dual-core, in other words, we can now do TWO things at a time!
Now, the above is the newest argument I’ve seen against VoIP systems such as asterisk! Can you imagine it?
